Food, fun and Nintendo greatness at Big Brothers, Big Sisters party in Houston

About 70 children came out Saturday for the Big Brothers, Big Sisters holiday party at the United Way building on Waugh. Attendees were greeted with games such as the bean-bag toss, a cake walk and Mario vs. Donkey Kong. When the children got tired of the games, they could rotate to various fun stations, including a cookie creation station, as well as an ornament making table.

However, the real action was over at the Nintendo table. The table had two timers and 6 DSi XLs, along with 6 copies of the recently released Mario vs. Donkey Kong to play and take for a test drive. Smiles were in abundance at the event.

Coney Island supplied the eats - juicy hot dogs, chips and Capri Sun drinks and bottled water for the hungry guests.

Nintendo also donated two DSi XLs, along with two copies of Mario vs. Donkey Kong for a raffle.

However, the two winners weren't the only guests going home with presents. Big Brothers, Big Sisters staffers also gave a gift and a ball to each child in attendance.
